Urban Amnesty Plan

Post by Irini »

Hello,

I recently read the article regarding the urban amnesty plan. It states:

''The new Urban Amnesty Plan is expected to be approved at today’s afternoon session of the Council of Ministers, and it will come into effect immediately for a period of only six months.''

My lawyer says it needs to be voted on by Parliament and become law. Only then will they investigate whether I can apply.

The two sources are conflicting. Can someone please shed some light on whether or not I would be able to apply?

TIA :-)

That's incorrect. It was an executive decision taken by the Council of Ministers. It does not need to be voted on by Parliament.

I suggest you get a lawyer who knows what he/she is talking about.
