In 2005, I purchased my property for 90,000 Cyprus pounds and since then I have made a number of improvements. I followed your guidance to ascertain my property valuation online and was shocked to find that my property is only valued at 77,700 euro. I know that it is too late to appeal, and most appeals would be because properties were over-valued, but how can I have my property revalued at a more realistic level, which I asses at somewhere about 180,000 euro, even accounting for the overall reduction in property values.
The property next door to mine, which is much smaller and stands on a smaller piece of land, has been valued at just over 100,000 euro.

Hi Tonto and welcome to the forum.

It is not too late to appeal the Land Registry's valuation, the deadline's been extended until the end of the year. See Valuation appeal deadline extended again. (This also has information on how to appeal).

I assume you have the Title Deeds to the property?

Thanks for the news about the appeal extension. Yes I do have title deeds and the property is in joint names with my wife. The 1980 valuation was C£1800.00 when the property was a single storey dwelling but in 2005/6 it was redeveloped into a two storey house on a plot of 290 square meters. In addition, a boiler house, car port and pergola have been added to the property since 2006. Is it possible the Department of Lands and Surveys have simply taken the 1980 valuation and updated it to the 2013 level?
