Reclaiming IPT

Post by footy123 »

Hello Nigel

Our family are now the proud owners of the title deeds for three apartments. So we duly set about reclaiming the IPT for which we have paid the developers and we have the reciepts..
We completed the forms which we where advised to do and took them to the appropriate office at the land registry...So far so good!
The staff at the land registry said "yes you have the correct documents but you will need to also complete these forms ".She then gave us a zillion other forms to take away and complete (all in Greek of course). When we got back home, even looking at them gave us headaches.
Our question is,we have heard there is a lady who has an office near the land registry who will help us with the completion of these documents and charges around 60/70 euros per property.Do you know who this lady is or do you know any one else who can help us with this mind boggling task.
We have more forms in our possetion to fill in to claim back the IPT than we did when we purchased the properties.

Thanks for any help, and may we wish you all the best for the new year.

Hello Terry,

I don't know who this lady may be - but there are usually a number of 'helpers' outside the Land Registry (in Limassol at least) who may be able to help.

Alternatively the Citizens' Service Centre may be able to help.

Happy New Year.
