Akamas Local Plan

Post by tom.want »

I am trying to understand the direction where Akamas and the surrounding communities are headed and would be thankful for an pointers.
From what I understand a plan has finally been released, for the protected Akamas region itself and also for the surrounding communities.

When researching plots in DLS the "ΣΧΕΔΙΟ_ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗΣ" field often says "ΔΗΛΩΣΗ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗΣ (ΧΩΡ. ΠΕΡΙΟΧΗ 4) 2010". That should mean what DLS is showing me is the development plan based on the "statement of policy for (region 4) 2010.
That may be latest data if it didn't change with the latest local plan, but how do I know if the lastest update are already in DLS? Would the ΣΧΕΔΙΟ_ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗΣ field change to read 2024 or would it stay 2010 if the zoning didn't change in the latest plan?

Follow up question: Is there a place to downloaded the latest colored zoning maps in PDF form? I did find some scattered around the web in various places, including a 2016 version of the Akamas / Paphos communities, but never an official source.

I suggest you get in touch with TerraCypria, they have been actively involved in scrutinising the environmental impact of the plan.

As far as I am aware, there's no central repository for local development plans.
