Hello,
When purchasing a property in Cyprus, will a lawyer handle all aspects for the buyer they are representing or is a notary also needed?

Re: Lawyer vs Notary
Hi Irini
Assuming you're in Cyprus, you only need a lawyer to represent you when you buy a property.
A notary is someone who can authorise signatures - including Certifying Officers who are employed by the Interior Ministry to authenticate signatures.
