Building Permit

I am in the process of trying to apply for a licence to rent out my property as a holiday let. I have everything I need except the building permit which I didn't get when I purchased the property. My solicitor has emailed the builder to try and get this but they so far have been unresponsive. Does anyone know how else I might get hold of it? I don't have any reference for it other than the address of the property. Many thanks

Hi,

Your lawyer can contact the District Admin of the district you are in. If you have the complex name and who the developer was, they may be able to trace it. If you have plans on your original contract that details the architects name then you could approach him and ask if he will produce it, at a cost of course.

Are you sure that the B.P is not referenced on the wording of the sale contract?? Just a thought.

Many thanks for your reply. I can't see any reference to the B.P on the sales contract. My solicitor has contacted the builder again to see if they can help. Thanks again.
