Hello Nigel,

I have heard an advert on the radio about an action group lead by a Law firm called Menelaos Kyprianou, Michael Kyprianou & co,
I wonder if you have heard of them, I phoned the no and spoke to a man who explained it was a no win no fee and if you wanted them to act on our behalf we would need to pay 376 euro for stamp duty to file the law suit. Is this the normal amount that a law firm would be asking and I just wondered what your views on this would be.

Yes - I've heard of the Michael Kyprianou - the firm is based in Paphos I believe.

I've heard of no other law firms offering a 'no win no fee'. The others I know of will first give their clients a legal opinion and then advise whether it's worthwhile proceeding with a court case or whether to renegotiate the loan.

It would be useful if you could get their offer in writing.

Our case is still continuing and we have now heard that the bank are taking legal action in Cyprus. Are you aware of other cases where Alpha Bank have commenced proceedings and do we know the outcome? Any comments from others would be appreciated!
