Hi Nigel
The developer of a complex where I own an apartment is threatening to cease maintenance due to a number of non payers. Separate title deeds are available although I suspect that many owners have not yet paid for these.
I also suspect that no one in the complex will want to take over and form a committee. If this is the case, my understanding is the Land Registry will appoint someone to manage the complex. Is this correct and if so who arranges this?
Thanks
Brian

Re: Developer threatening to quit
Hi Brian,
Here is the form requesting the Director of the Lands Office to appoint a temporary committee.
Remember that he people appointed will need to be paid - so it's likely that your charges will rise considerably if you go down this route.
Best to organise the committee amongst yourselves (as required by the law).
