Title Deeds

How many of the Title Deeds so far issued have gone to developers and not to the occupants of the properties who have paid in full for the houses? Is this what the Troika envisaged happening? It appears that the duped buyers are no better off and the government is fudging the figures to get the next tranche of bail out money.

Hi Pippa

In these cases all title deeds will be issued in the name of the owner (the developer) - and then Title has to be transferred to the purchasers.

The Department of Land & Surveys has started to publish quarterly figures - see http://cdn.cyprus-property-buyers.com/w ... e_2013.pdf - but they reveal very little.

The troika delegation is due back soon and I'm sure we'll get some more meaningful figures.
