Hello Nigel
re the new Limitations Law 2012. I know this is due to come in 1 July 2013. Someone mentioned to me it may have been extended by another year to 2014. Do you know anything of this, or are we still looking at a time bar for property and other matters next month?
Regards
Alan

Re: Limitations Law 2012
Hi Alan,
An extension was proposed by the General Attorney and the Minister of Justice and Public Order extending the limitation period to July 2014. This was subsequently approved by the Council of Ministers (the cabinet) on 23rd January.
However, for it to become law it has to be passed by Parliament – and with bailout decisions at the top of the agenda, I don’t know if the bill has been presented to Parliament.
I read that it was on the agenda for a plenary session of parliament last Thursday, but I do not know if it was voted through or even debated.
