Management Committee Law and regulations

Hi,
Can you have a Committee of 8 members. The reason I ask is we have 8 willing volunteers. It is likely impossible all 8 would be available for a meeting, thus putting doubt on the need for an odd number. Also presumeably our regulations can state 8 Committee members.

Hi Barry,

I've had a quick look through the law - I didn't find any restrictions placed on the number of Management Committee members.

If there is a tied vote, the simplest thing would be to have the chairman cast a deciding vote.
