BSN legal? Anyone had them call to offer legal services?

Post by thedesignboy »

I have had them call and really press me to sign an invoice to begin legal proceedings against my lawyer and developer, with my case I have forged documents and the development went past the quoted delivery. They say they can win an out of court settlement if I pay them £1200 to begin work.

They seem to be very confident, even gave me the name and previous cases from the lawyer they would employ on my behalf, I can't find any thing online about BSN, can you guys shed any advice or insight?

I asked them if they would win the case and take the fee from it with them being so confident, but apparently this is unheard off and cowboy of me to ask. So I'm tempted, but really aware that I've been cold called and been taken on in the past. In fact last year I had a group of Russian investors willing to buy my property off me, but I did not go through with it, they also asked for around £1200 to begin paper work.

I'm by no means saying that BSN are a bad company, as I have no proof either way, just interested if any of you have had the call or taken it further. Worst case they told me it goes into court, then is another £2k+ to do that proceeding, but they said it would be most likely settled out of court. I just can't trust that. Experience is telling me that bad things happen when people promise things relating to property 95% of the time ;)

£1,200 to "begin work" - what will BSN Legal do for that money?

Did you contact them or did they contact you? If the latter, they sound like the usual ambulance chasing crowd.

lol, funny term. They called me, told me they can help. Reviewed my paperwork and then advised they can win an out of court settlement.

I found them on the web. It seems they are based in Gibraltar, but they do not give their names.

Interestingly, looking at their overseas fraud page:

Scams checklist

If an exciting offer seems too good to be true, think about the following warning signs and ask yourself if it is a scam:

• Was the offer unsolicited?

I suggest you do some digging to find out who they are.
