Cyprus Property Dispute Group UK
To all,
We have all read about people wanting to take legal action but very little materializes. I am a UK resident and purchased property in Cyprus and am now in a dire situation. With the limitations and insolvency legislation coming into force in Cyprus we are running out of time. The banks ...

Re: Hexagon Oracle (Paphos) & Laiki Bank mortgages
Well it looks like either forum members have it all figured out already or no one is interested. Funny, from reading the comments it sounds like there are many who still haven't got what they wanted!

Hexagon Oracle (Paphos) & Laiki Bank mortgages
I am sick and tired of the entire property situation. Our properties have been used as collateral for developers loans as part of a massive, government endorsed, fraud. The fact that the Cypriot authorities will not record it as fraud (criminal offence) is irrelevant. It is fraud in my opinion.
I ...

Re: Developer Morgages
Oh, and before anyone says, "But what about the UK......blah, blah, blah". The difference is that the UK had the money to bail itself out. Cyprus doesn't. It's as simple as that, but the significance of the difference cannot be underestimated. Cyprus really has to accept what their new lenders say ...

Re: Developer Morgages
This really is the big question. The one avoided by the Cypriot officials. What about the NPL's and the title deed mess it creates. I firmly believe that Cyprus' resistance to independent auditing of its banks books (debts and money laundering) is not to do so much with the level of debt but the ...

Re: Laiki Bank mortgage
As ever, the real question always comes back to the developer loan secured against the land on which your house sits!

Limitations Law
Nigel,
I'm hoping you can clear this one up for me as I've heard conflicting information. Is the legislation actually in force now? I've heard that there is a transition period and it does not come into force until 1st July 2013. I'm not sure at what date we all count back 6 years. Does this mean ...

Re: Bank loan books
The press reported today that the TROIKA are looking to reduce the debt level of Cyprus to make it sustainable. I presume that in their assessment of the banks they have taken into consideration all the loans which are secured against land. Surely they must force the banks to realise the assets they ...

Re: Bank loan books
Have I missed something or has it all gone quiet on the BlackRock audit front?
According to the Cypriot Central Bank they didn't agree with important aspects of the PIMCO methodology whilst PIMCO state that they worked on data provided by the Central Bank. Someone is telling porkies!
Anyone know ...

Re: Bank loan books
I read the report again (http://www.financialmirror.com/news-det ... ?nid=28734) and it only states March. I don't know where I got the 2nd from. I must have made it up or imagined it. If I'm not careful I will be hired as the finance minster in the new government!

Re: TROIKA
finally! I hope it is thorough and the TROIKA haven't been hoodwinked.
We have all heard so much about, hidden debts, non-performing developer loans etc and the figures differ considerably. This should put it all to bed and we will finally see if there are billions and billions of developer debts ...

Bank loan books
The delay in this PIMCO business leads to me to the following questions.......
1. Does anyone know when the loan amounts held by the banks will be made public?
2. Is it this week, this month, this year?
I would really like to know but cannot find the answer anywhere.
