Hello Nigel,
Do you know an insurance company that will insure a complex and also the committee members. We have received two quote but either cover the committee members.
Thank you. Marianne

Hello Nigel,
Have spoken to Andrew regarding complex insurance, however, due to the cost we are unable to get the owners to agree.
I can understand what Andrew is saying that all the flats should be insured together with the building.
It's the usual thing people want it but don't want to pay for it.

Hello Marianne
Yes - that's correct. The whole complex including the common parts of the building, individual dwellings and liability has to be insured through the same company (see
http://cdn.cyprus-property-buyers.com/w ... cyprus.pdf ).
I don't know what to suggest if people are unwilling to pay - but I believe the law regarding Joint Ownership is being looked into and we may have a new law (don't know when) compelling people to pay.
Regards,
