Can you confirm that the position of president of a mangement committee doesn't give that person any extra powers. Also can the president nominate who he likes as chair of a meeting or does it have to be someone from within the committee?

I can confirm that the chairman of the management committee has no 'extra' powers - I'm not too sure whether he is able to nominate someone to chair a meeting - the law makes no mention.
