Alpha Bank

Hi Nigel
I am new to the Forum,I had a Swiss Franc Loan with Alpha Bank on my property from 2005 to 2014 May
during this time the Swiss Franc got devalued and Alpha Bank then put our Interest rate up which basically
doubled are repayments. I managed to sell my property this year at a loss and came out with nothing,
is it to late to pursue any action against Alpha Bank.

I'm sorry to say that as you no longer have a Swiss loan, I believe that you no longer have the right to pursue the Alpha Bank.

I have recently been reliably informed that Alpha bank will ne applying a 'Means test method' when calculating possible compensation in lieu of Swiss Franc mortgage settlements!
Unbelievable !

Good news or bad news I suppose depending how much 'means' you have!

Hi,
I have had various remortgage offers from Alpha bank, but also a discounted price for full settlement. can anyone tell me if they have managed to negotiate this figure down and by how much??

I heard about this earlier today - it applies to all their loans (not just Swiss Francs) and applies to all nationalities.
