As the Secretary for our Complex of 67 properties I am trying to get details from all our Owners so that the Management Admin Committee have a proper registration of Owners details to include their names and contact addresses, nationality, passport numbers etc.

Do other Complexes hold such info ? What are we legally allowed to ask for i.e can we ask for proof of ownership by copies of Purchase Contracts or Property Deeds ?

Perhaps others can let me know what info their Complexes have ?

Would Nigel Howarth know just what we are allowed to ask for and keep on file ??

You can ask for whatever you want - but whether the owners will give you the information is another matter.

All you really need is their name and contact details.

When I was Chairman of our Committee, I found that owners were quite prepared to give me their e-mail addresses as this was the method of communication. Our Developers were very helpful as well.
