Hi
does anyone out there know if you have made a will in the Uk
but you own land in Cyprus is this will valid in Cyprus and would
the land transfer to the beneficary named or would we be better
making a will in Cyprus as well. My partner owns land in Cyprus
but is unable to travel to do this how would we be able to do this
in this case.

It will certainly make things a lot quicker and simpler if you both made Wills in Cyprus. You can read more about this at

There are a number of Cypriot law firms with offices in the UK who can prepare a Will.

thankyou for the information about wills if we make wills
in the UK with a Cypriot Solicitor would this suffice or would
these wills have to be registed with a department in Cyprus.

It is not strictly necessary to register your Wills with a department in Cyprus.
I guess the lawyer you plan to use has offices on the Island? If so, they can be kept there.

would it have to be a lawyer with offices in the Uk and Cyprus
and would the wills have to be kept in Cyprus with copies in the Uk

You can have signed originals in both offices.
