Hi there,
Looking to sell some land in Cyprus and noticed that people in the "EU are treated as equal to Cypriot citizens, regardless of their
residential status" - just wondered whether Brexit would have an immediate affect on this as of March 29?
Also, is there an option for changing the language to English on the Cyprus Property Valuers site?
Thanks
A

Re: selling and Brexit
Hi Andrew
I don't think anyone can say exactly how Brexit will affect Brits, but the Interior Minister said that In the event of a no deal Brexit “Cyprus stands ready to ensure that those British citizens residing in Cyprus presently, and until 29 March 2019, will be able to continue residing and enjoying the same rights as provided for in the withdrawal agreement.”
There is the possibility that once we leave the EU we will be treated as non-EU citizens, which will place restrictions on the amount of property we can own and requiring us to seek permission of the Council of Ministers.
Regards,

Re: selling and Brexit
Thanks for that Nigel,
Being based in the UK whilst trying to sell land in Cyprus, I was alluding more to the how it would affect me as a seller from
a non-EU country.

Re: selling and Brexit
As a seller, Brexit shouldn't affect you although a Brit wishing to buy your property may face some hurdles.
We bought property in Cyprus long before Cyprus joined the EU. It wasn't a problem.

Re: selling and Brexit
Would appreciate any pointers to how best find good/decent agents to approach about a plot of agricultural land for sale in the region of Limassol?
