Advice to sell title deeds in north Cyprus

Post by Xanthi »

Hi,

I am a British citizen and my parents are originally Greek cypriot. My father passed away and left me many very big plots of land in Kyrenia. I have all the title deeds in my name and one of the plots is very big near the sea.

I am very interested in selling my land or exchanging it for property in south Cyprus.

Please can anyone recommend any contacts that can help me??

Please email me or reply to this message xanthichrysanthou1980@gmail.com.

Thank you
Xanthi

Dear Xanthi

Welcome to the forum (I've removed your other three posts on the same subject.)

I suspect that you land will have been given to Turkish Cypriots in exchange for the land and property they left in the south following the invasion. If it's near the sea I wouldn't be surprised if it's been been developed for holiday homes.

But in any event you'll be unable to sell the land due to the political situation.

However, the 'authorities' in the north have established an Immovable Property Commission to which you may apply for compensation for the loss of your land. You can find ore details at http://www.tamk.gov.ct.tr/
