just completing purchase of property

just completing purchase of villa has anyone a check list of things to do after completion of purchase we don't plan to live full time but spend as much free time we can get.

Hello Mick and welcome to the forum.

One of the first things you need to do is register at the Tax Office with details of the property - see http://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers. ... id=0039392 . They will then send you bills for Immovable Property Tax (assuming you are liable.)

Also let the local authority know (community/municipality) and the telephone and electricity companies.

When you say you are 'just completing' - does the property have a title deed and you are completing in that sense?

Hi thanks for the reply yes the property has title deeds and will be transferred to our names joint purchase with my wife. the villa is in gialia so what district covers this area.

Gialia is in Paphos district - the offices are in Paphos town and the telephone and electricity companies are there. I guess it's a Community and their offices should be in the village somewhere.

You'll need to visit Paphos for the deeds.
