Hello Nigel
I live in the Newcastle area, work for Specsavers opticians and bought a apartment off plan In Tersefanou as an investment. Unfortunately I think I have made every mistake in the book by not visiting the island etc and placing my trust in the hands of a well known international property agent.
However hoping to gain some valuable info and advice from your site and this forum.
Best wishes
Peter

Hello Peter & welcome,
I know that some of the overseas property marketing companies can be very persuasive! One of the pundits here reported that some of them receive as much as 15% commission, so there's a huge incentive for them to achieve a sale.
I met up with a journalist a couple of years ago who managed to get a seat on a property inspection flight (although she'd already bought an apartment here - she was writing a feature for 'Woman & Home' magazine). We had an 'interesting' talk.
Regards,
