Hello everyone.
We are about to execute an Sale agreement, and currently checking the Cypriot land registry for any encumbrances, mortgages etc.
The thing is that our seller is currently living in UK, and she is using her lawyers in Cyprus via a power of attorney.
My question is - how does her (for the sake of a theory) bankruptcy situation (in UK) affect the search certificate in the Land Registry of Cyprus?
Is there any risk, if I transfer the title on my name, but afterwards e.g UK bank challenges my right to the title deed in courts, due to Sellers recent bankruptcy (even if in the LR file there weren't any records on this matter).
My lawyer says that he can consult only on Cypriot law, and that if there is a clear search certificate, there, normally, should be no problems.
Any advices / tips are highly welcome

Re: Seller check for bankruptcy
Apologies for the long delay, I've only just spotted your question.
The fact that the vendor may be bankrupt in the UK will not affect the outcome or contact of a search certificate here in Cyprus.
