Immovable property Tax

Post by susiecoo »

Hi there.

Can you advise if purchasing a resale property (the owner has the deeds), is immovable property tax based on the purchase price today or is it still 01/01/1980 please?

If it's based on 1980 price ie: below €12,500. which I believe made it exempt, where on a deed would this show please?

Hope this makes sense.

Thank you.

At this present time, there is no IPT, there is no need for the 1980 value.

On older deeds it is clearly shown in the body of the deeds , but now only the 2013 and 2018 general valuations are shown.
