My wife and I have bought an old house in Letymvou. The house is in a bad state after having stood empty for a couple of decades. There are large cracks in the walls and floors. The building is made of stone and a large part of the roof tiled with a flat roof extension built on also in stone.
Possibly the cheapest thing is to pull the whole thing down and rebuild but we want to stay traditional. I understand that there may be grants available for renovating traditional properties but I don't know where to go for advice.
Has anyone been through this process before? can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Steve.

Re: Building Grants
Hi Steve
Yes - there are grants to renovate old properties; you have to use appropriate materials, finishes, etc.
You need to you speak to an architect who specialises in renovations. I know one in Limassol, but for the life of me I cannot remember her name
I suggest you call the Cyprus Architects' Association on 22672887 or 22660510, they should be able to put you in touch with a couple in Paphos.
