Complex Insurance

Post by Arjm7a »

Hi I am new to this and a management committee. We :-? have a complex with approx 15 occupied units which has a communal pool. The insurance for the complex is up for renewal, question what type of insurance should we have and roughly how much should it cost....? Thanks in Advance

Hi Arjm7a and welcome to the forum.

You'll need to shop around for quotes and be sure to read through the policies to see exactly what and what is not covered. E.g. Some agents/intermediaries will say it's an 'All Risk' policy, but when you read through the policy document, you'll see it isn't.

I published an article a few weeks ago about the insurance of jointly-owned buildings, the cover you should be looking for and how to avoid some of the pitfalls; you can find it at https://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers ... /id=003525

Also, I have an excellent publication 'Everything you need to know about the insurance of jointly-owned buildings' by Miltiades Miltiadou – Independent Insurance and Risk Management Consultant. You can find it at https://property-11519.kxcdn.com/wp-con ... cyprus.pdf

I hope that helps. If you would like my recommendation on an insurance intermediary who specialises in these type of policies, contact me via my signature block below.
