Hi
Can you let me know if properties with attics can be insulated in Cyprus. I can't find a company that does this. I live in Ayia Napa.
Great forum - priceless information!

Re: insulating an attic
Hi cailin and welcome to the forum.
It is certainly possible to get rockwool insulation here, but I don't know of any companies that would fit it for you. I guess you have a wooden pitched roof built over a concrete ceiling?
Maybe someone in your area will come along and advise you of a local company (I'm the other side of Limassol).
Regards,

Thanks Nigel and yes you are right about the wooden pitched roof, suppose it's standard.
Nigel here's another question which I would be grateful for your opinion on: My home which was completed in 2007 was unoccupied for some time a year ago and the water tank on the roof kept overflowing. A plumber called out and said the tank was blocked with debris. As a result the solar panels were not working neither was the water heater. Before 'xmas electric fuses kept blowing and I've now been told that there is a problem with the electrics and that there is a fire risk as a result of this. Is this my fault?

Hi Cailin
This may not be your fault - but it's something that yo need to sort out.
Unless the problem is due to a structural fault, this is down to you.
