Hello All and seasonal greetings.
Just a quick question...does anyone have any idea as to how much they pay (either annually or quarterly) for their common expenses?
Any pointers will be much appreciated.
Regards. Dave Selby

This is a 'how long is a piece of string type question'. The communal charges are based on the size of the property you own and the facilities within the complex. They vary enormously, from a little as 250E per year to 1200E + per year.
Also, depending on the management company some will do it cheaper than others. Unless you can be more specific with the property and facilities it would be impossible to estimate such a figure.
Hope that helps

Re: Common expenses and reasonable costs.
Seasons greetings Dave
It's difficult to say what reasonable expenses may be - it depends on the facilities. They could be as much as €2,000/annum.
If some of the owners are not paying the rest have to make up the shortfall and the Management Committee then sues the non-payer(s).
The law is in need of radical reform. There was talk earlier this year that this might happen, but nothing has been done.
Maybe someone in the forum living on a complex will be able to advise you.
