Re: Greek in Canada

Hello, You can purchase a property in Cyprus with or without any Greek ID/Passport If you have a Greek ID then that should be sufficient anyway, you do not necessarily need a passport to do this. The only other place to get a passport from Canada is via the Greek Embassy if they have one there. Hope...

Re: What are your thoughts on this?

Hello everyone, having been in the Paphos area for quite some time, I've been exploring the housing market in the TRNC. Three-bedroom villas with a private pool for around £125,000! Seems like a no-brainer...What are your thoughts on this? You are considering property in the illegally occupied area...

Hi Dave If you can send me the details on your deed through my contact page that are highlighted in yellow on this image . I'll see what I can find on the DLS database. Regards, Nigel, the DLS portal does not give personal information, hence the need to register with Ariadni, each person to his own...

Re: Buying a old house by a mixed couple

Hi Tomas When your Sale Agreement is lodged with the Land Registry, it prevents the vendor changing his mind about the sale - or selling the property to someone else. Hi Nigel, thank you so much. Your advices are very helpfull us. Unfortunately that property was sold very quickly to someone else, s...

Re: Co-owned flat doesn't show on Cyprus DLS portal

Dave_Lages wrote: 30 Nov 2023 22:04 Hello,
Does anyone know if it's common to not be able to see a co-owned property (flat) on the Cypriot DLS portal?
And do you have a suggestion of how to make it visible on my property list?
Thanks in advance
D
You can only see it if you have a title, not a contract.

Re: Buying a old house by a mixed couple

4. Assuming your lawyer finds no issues, the purchase and registration can be completed in a matter of hours. It would be completed in a matter of hours once tax clearance has been obtained (may take 1 mont depends on district, 2 if you are in Paralimni), and the appointment time at the land regist...

Re: Co-owner of land

Thank you for all of your advice If I can agree with the family to split the land officially into our own iokopeda with our own title deeds do you have an idea of how much this would cost? Re: Co-owner of land

Thank you so much for your responses The plot is a large residential plot in Larnaca - it’s over 17,000 square meters - it has a large road frontage We have discussed splitting into individual plots, which I agree would be ideal but no one can agree or wants to put money towards it If I did take a ...

Re: Selling flat in Protaras & Probate

Hi, sorry to hear about your father. Under tha laws of succession in Cyprus, your father's 50% share will be divided equally between your mum and his children. Of course the children can agree to let their mum have it all. But either way, you need to do probate in Cyprus before you can do anything w...

Re: council of ministers

Just a couple of things.

1. Are you buying under a contract of sale?? If so you do not need council of ministers permission at this stage.

2. When you say you have signed contracts, have you done the tax clearance (assuming a resale) and are ready for the land registry??

What area are you in??
