Re: Updated title deeds

Hi pissouri123 It's the purchaser's responsibility to to instruct their lawyer to carry out a title search on the property . The cost of the actual search is €20, but the lawyer will include their fees for doing the work. It does involve two trips to the Land Registry office - one to request the se...

Re: Building Permissions Z1 Zoning

Thanks Nigel! Is there any contact information for Pantheman? It's starting to sound like the only way to know is to apply for a building permit. Is that a document accessible online or do I need to be in Cyprus to fill it out? Cheers! Hello SPapa, Some questions for you: 1. Where is you land locat...

Re: Sale Deposit

Than you for your informative response. Things are a clearer for me now, I understand the need for a timescale. If they give me a reservation fee, you mention that I cannot sell elsewhere. However, does this mean that if my circumstances unfortunately changed, I cannot cancel the sale (before contr...

Re: Sale Deposit

It's not a deposit as such, it is a reservation fee to remove the property from sale pending the paperwork. As for reservation agreements, whatever Nigel said. As for amount, it is normal for reservation fees to be €3k - €5k. Depends also on the sale price, I mean if you were selling a €1mn house wo...

You are unlikely to get the info you need on the website. You must go in person.

Sorry.

Re: Can I get compensation for a proposed road through my land?

Hi Nigel and others. I have a parcel of land in Larnaca district and I am being told that there is going to be new road (eventually) that will cut through my land. I have a couple of questions. First, how can I confirm that there is a plan for this to happen, eg, do I ask the local council? Second,...

Hello, In any compulsory acquisitions, the government must have a valid reason for acquiring it. It cannot just 'was taken by the government in the 70s as it was of interest to the government as it may contain treasure trove' s you say. What reason did they give. The interest was 9% until an amendin...

Re: Calculation of Communal Charges

Hi Nigel, Please guide me to find information on the 'common expenses' payment rules. I am interested to understand if we have a base to ask owners of flats in the building with no tenants (empty flats) to pay common expenses even if the flats are empty during some months. Thank you in advance. Lau...
