Re: owner of land, but no house possible??

Thanks, we did ask several official planers and so on. Everybody said something different!! Thought it would be possible to get an independent information here , where we can find the official laws. Anyway, thanks. Hi giseladimis, well, seems someone has been BS you. Firstly, you should ask them to...

Re: How do I find out the value of property my properties ?

Hi LCG, you could get it valued as Nigel has suggested, but this is, in my opinion, an academic exercise and would only be of much use if you were looking to borrow money on it. Paphos is in a particularly depressed state from a housing point of view and any idea of new development should be conside...

Re: Adjoining Plot

Nigel, you could just get a search done at the land registry. If you have the cadastral plan of the area incorporating the plot. Unfortunately, the Land Registry will not give out the information unless you are an 'interested party' - but that is different if you know them or have contacts. There's...

Re: Adjoining Plot

By the way - I found out who owns the plot..... I would be very interested to hear how you found out. Someone else here wants to do the same. Regards, Nigel, you could just get a search done at the land registry. If you have the cadastral plan of the area incorporating the plot. Also, ask at the mu...

Re: Land Registry N50 info

What about the clause he signed in the contract, to deliver the said property free of any encumbrances? Where would that stand in a court? In my opinion the developer is in breach of contract - but you will need to have this confirmed by a lawyer. Can you type in the precise wording of the clause i...

Re: Registering Land Access

Thanks for the tips. It has basically confirmed what we thought as regards the solicitor. We will take your advice and obtain the LR reference and chase this up. The land is at Iniea and we also have an aprtment in Polis. We'll be there next week and have booked an appointment with the solicitor so...

Re: Registering Land Access

Hi, We bought a plot of agricultural land as an investment back in 2004, received the deeds and immediately instructed a solicitor to apply for access. We would need access over another plot to our land. Since then we have received nothing from our soliciters except that 'It takes time'. They have ...

I am willing to bet she has not got it signed hence the reason for not responding. depending who your developer is, I understand she is shacked up with one of them. You may have to take a flyer (very apt) and come over and see her, by kicking down the door. This person needs shooting she is a disgra...

Hi, As long as you never agreed by signing any paperwork, I understand you can get them removed. However, it depends on where in you garden they placed them. Is you house and older house?? Does it have pavements? I ask because if you live in an older property where you boundary wall goes out to the ...

Re: Lawers, Developers, Banks!!

By the sounds of it it has to me the lawyer 'L' from Paphos?? Someone needs to be doing something about this person. I was contacted last week by someone who has complained to the Cyprus Bar Association about the lawyer you mention. The lawyer is appearing in front of the CBA disciplinary board on ...

Hi Sharon and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you've been mislead by a couple of crooks masquerading as property developers and lawyers. I have sent you an email advising you how to progress matters. Is your guaranteed rental written into your contract of sale? Unfortunately, changing one l...

Re: Introduction

If you had made a proper introduction as to your real intentions you may have had some response.

You sound like some journalist trying to get 3rd hand info for a write up somewhere.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but you haven't actually introduced yourself yet.

Re: transfer fees

Nigel,

I may be wrong in this, but I was under the impression that for immovaable property, it got equally divided between spouse and kids and that personal belongings can be willed.

I will need to double check this as well.
