Re: "Notes" on title deed

It is possible that the person acquired the plot from the state (as a refugee status) and usually the note would say '... cannot transfer, withing 5 years of plot registered to the owner. It seems that this is the case according to the estate agent. The dates also match, since it is from 2016 to 20...

Re: "Notes" on title deed

Nigel, A Prohibition is an order preventing a legal person from transferring a title, it does not put time frames on the title. It is possible that the person acquired the plot from the state (as a refugee status) and usually the note would say '... cannot transfer, withing 5 years of plot registere...

Re: Evicting a bad tenant - what is the process and how long

the Cypriot law and behaviour of locals is unbelievable (although I am fist generation Cypriot myself , leaving in UK) Sadly, it is not just Cypriot law and locals, I had rental properties in the UK and suffered the same problems, for whatever reason the law does side with the tenant, because we st...

Re: Evicting a bad tenant - what is the process and how long

Mazotos is NOT in the rent control area, and in any case, even it it were and she didn't pay rent she can be evicted. You need to speak to a lawyer to apply for an eviction order to have her 'legally' removed. Another popular method is to just go in when not there and change the locks, I doubt very ...

Re: Finding owner of niegbouring property

I think that the management committee could pay for this damage and recoup the cost from the bank/new owners as unpaid communal charges. Because of the bank have repossessed the property they are deemed the legal owners and are subject to the same terms as everyone else to pay. Try it, see what the ...

Re: Turkish land

Hi Barrie You seem to have covered everything - perhaps a letter to your MEP could help? Regards, ... or even a solicitors letter to the architect working for the developer. He carries responsibility for the build, he has indemnity insurance. Sue him, or try. Another thought, if the Land registry h...

Re: Turkish land

Hi Nigel. Thanks for the very quick reply. Unfortunately, the Turkish boundary line runs right through my pool and outside utility room. To reset the boundary it would mean filling in the pool, demolishing the utility room and moving the gas tank, central heating and water pump - obviously expensiv...

Re: returning house to bank?

Dear Tina Thank you for the email correspondence. I suggest you proceed as requested by your former partmner and lawyer. I note that the bank has said that the bank will accept the house in 'full and final settlement of the case', which means that they will not pursue you or your former partner for...

Hello, I cannot say for sure, but if it were me faced with these questions: 1. "we have each received our share of the assets of the estate"; 2. that we "discharge the solicitor as the Executor of the Estate from any further obligation" and that 3. "anything payable or due for the Administration Gra...

Re: Removal of Maintenance Services Company

Personally, I don't think they have the right to demand such information. You hire them, you fire them. Simples, just stop paying them see how long they will continue do the job!
