Re: Bank waivers

Do you have a contact number ? Our lawyer was contacting the bank but we don't seem to be getting any updates from them. We can't seem to get a contact at the bank either. The original lawyer is known by the Bar association and if i gave you their name you will be aware of this person. This case wo...

Re: Bank waivers

Hi Ok so our buyer decided to pull out due to the length of time that the lawyer was holding onto their money gaining interest for themselves. The buyer still wants our property but it's seems such a long wait for the title deeds and we can't get the waiver so is there any other way we can sell our...

Hi Robert

As your complex has five units you are required to have a management committee by law.
Nigel, these are 5 houses there is nothing jointly owned as such. How does the law still apply here??? Unless of course there is a communal pool, private road and gardens!!!

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

OK, My last comment on this thread. Firstly, those who are buying are essentially buying for the passport, not necessarily for income producing investments. If you want to buy for that kind of investment then yes, do more research for the right type of asset class. Secondly those links are opinion p...

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

VCY, you are obviously in the trade so to speak, whom do you represent, you can pm me if you wish. Gross yields, no can do, even if I knew I couldn't say! Yes quite right about the passport, my bad    I was thinking ahead that he would want the transfer now whilst waiting for the p...

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

My main concern with a single 2m+ villa 1. As VCY pointed out, the glut of properties that will hit the market when CIP celebrates 3rd anniversary will depress prices. Really, the Ayia Napa Marina, the New 5* Hotel and sea front properties about to be started, the other new sea front projects that ...

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

For practical reasons, it would be difficult to coordinate many individual purchases. Would a single multi-unit residential building of perhaps 10-20 flats be a reasonable alernative? Actually this is what I meant by investing into a project. PS Still hoping for a way to find honest agent and attor...

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

Thanks VCY. I'd love to learn from others who have sucessfully completed the CIP, but I expect most prefer privacy about their status. I appreciate your tip about smaller Limassol residences. For practical reasons, it would be difficult to coordinate many individual purchases. Would a single multi-...

Re: 2m investment: villa or commercial?

CIP? Might translate to Citizenship??? In any case, someone who is looking to spend 2m is hardly going to be asking such a question here!!! By the time you cover all the other costs involved it will be looking more like 2.5m or close to it, if this is the scheme you are referring to. Is the 70k net...

Re: Purchase of a plot for building

Thanks Pan In addition I would also suggest that VCY asks his architect to visit the site to see if the ground is suitable for building. (There are many areas in Cyprus where ground conditions render the land unsuitable for building.) Regards, I would have said Civil Engineer as opposed to architect.

Re: Purchase of a plot for building

Hello, Here are the kinds of things you need to verify (not exhaustive): 1. Zone the plot is in. Just because it has coefficients doesn't necessarily mean you can use them. 2. Is it attached to a public road, and if so what is it's width. Needs to be a min 12ft. 3. Are the utilities close by, electr...

Re: Cyprus estate

Is there a way I can (from UK) check what if any other property exists in their names. No, I'm afraid there isn't. I think the Land Registry staff can search with a person's Cypriot ID reference. Regards, As Nigel, says you need to go in person, of give a PoA to someone you trust to act on your beh...
