Re: Complaints toThe Disciplinary Board of Advocates
@Scots Lad, I agree with you 100%. After Emily Lemoniati has gone on record to state "I will chase him until the day he dies... no matter what. I’m going to make his life a nightmare” about a former client, the CBA (which governs her as a Lawyer) needs to take apppropriate action, which I hope they ...

Re: Complaints toThe Disciplinary Board of Advocates
Andy P, That is fantastic news. Well done to you for pursuing this to its conclusion when most others would likely have given up at the thought of no justice. Is there any chance that she will be struck off the solicitors roll, or at least restricted in how she can practice, ie as a junior solicitor...

Re: Complaints toThe Disciplinary Board of Advocates
With 25 complaints and rising I cannot see how the Stigette will not eventually be barred from practising. Her complete disregard for the law over a number of years will catch up with her eventually. i am a great believer in what goes around comes around. I would imagine the rest of the profession w...

Potima Marina?
Does anyone have any news on the start of the new Potima Marina. The website for the marina states the construction should begin this autumn.

Re: developer mortgage on land
Well, the lady lawyer that was jailed failed to provide me with a property search when she did my conveyancing. I carried out my own search 4 years later and guess what there was a developer mortgage on the development of 1.5 million euros. That is why she did not tell me there was a loan on the dev...

Re: Cyprus Banks taking legal action in UK
Mr Stress, Any judgement against you in Cyprus can simply re enforced against you in the uk without any re-visit on the merits of the action in the uk, therefore the bank would be entitled to the same redress against you as any other creditor chasing a debt in the uk. The bank would not be able to s...

Nigel - if I took that the wrong way then I apologise. On re-reading I see that I was in the wrong. I guess that woman just makes me see red, whenever I think about her. I understand that it is your forum and I dont want to do anything that would put it at risk. Thats why I wrote the statement as I ...

Re: Emily Lemoniati
So I am an idiot now?! I am the one who has been scammed out of a large amount of money here by corrupt property professionals and banks in Cyprus, and I am the one in the wrong here by simply raising the publics awareness to a lawyer who has been jailed, and what people wish to take from that is up...

Emily Lemoniati
I noticed my earlier email re Emily Lemoniati has been locked so no one can reply. I find it very disturbing how everyone seems scared (including the Cyprus press) to mention her name, especially when her convictions and jail term are in the public domain and can be freely mentioned on public forums...

Emily Lemoniati
I am posting up the name of Emily Lemoniati, the Paphos lawyer, but emphasise that i am only doing so solely in relation to her specific convictions for motoring offences and resultant jail term, which are all on public record at court and therefore in the pubic domain. There is no conjecture or def...

Re: Cyprus Banks taking legal action in UK
yes, i would keep paying the loan if you can to see how things pan out with test cases etc until you decide whether to ditch the property. On the other hand who wants a loss making investment property that cant be rented or sold. You have to weigh the risk based on your own circumstances. Good luck.

Re: Cyprus Banks taking legal action in UK
thedesignboy, taking each of your points in turn:- 1.It doesn't protect your legal position that you havent had the property signed over, if the developer has complied with their obligations under the contract to build and complete the property. I used the same lawyer as you. ie the Stigette of cypr...

Re: Cyprus Banks taking legal action in UK
Janner, The point I am making when I say continue to pay if you can is because although you can strenuously defend any action in Cyprus and appeal a judgement, the reality is that the cyprus judges from recent cases (including Conor O'Dwyer case) do not appear to follow their own laws nor the eu law...
