Re: Selling our villa - questions

Thanks both

Regarding the 'abandoned villa' next door, the tenant's son had tracked down the last people who were renting it and report that"they had to move out about five years ago when the bank repossessed the property"

Yesterday's estate agent suggested that we employed someone to tidy it up ...

Re: Selling our villa - questions

If you want a more accurate valuation, I suggest you contact the Property Valuers Association . For a property priced at €250,001 to €1,000,000, it will cost €300 plus 0.1% of the value for the intermediate amount.

Selling our villa - questions

Long message, sorry!

We are UK based and declare all our incomes to the UK HMRC
We have a Paphos solicitor who we haven't needed to communicate with for many years.

Our villa in the Paphos area has been tenanted to a British couple for the last 15 years!
They are now of 'advanced years' and have ...

Re: Renting out a property (non-EU citizen)

(I would be interested to hear what happens if a non-EU citizen tries to get a licence to rent out their second home on Airbnb or another on-line rental platform.)

We are (and always have been) UK citizens/residents

We bought an apartment in 1996 which we upgraded for a villa in 2000
We then ...

Re: Buying in Paphos area

Could you please advise on the steps you took in order to acquire the right to rent properties as a non-EU citizen?
We've been hearing that this is not possible for us to rent since (as non-EU) we can only own a property for personal needs...

Who owns next door?

We own a villa in a village outside Paphos which is rented out to a British couple
L&G used to own next door but the developers swapped it for another of their properties.
The developers are now bankrupt (?) but we believe that *maybe* one of the directors actually owned the house.
There were ...
