Re: Real estate buyers in Cyprus are Struggling
All seems very wild west to me and very challenging to get a feel of what the true market price should be. A RICS Valuation Surveyor will give you a realistic market price. You can find them listed at Surveyors in Cyprus . Alternatively, a member of the Property Valuers Association . IMO many peopl...

Re: individual building project in Paphos area
Hi Janne and welcome to the forum We built our house in Erimi (Limassol). We bought the land in 1992, engaged an architect in 1996, finalised the design in 2002 and issued invitation to tender to six building contractors. We shortlisted three of those who tendered, inspected properties they'd built ...

However, fencing off a pool does not make it a private pool - according to the Cyprus swimming pool regulations: Cyprus Law N.55(I)/92 paragraph 2 states ...

Re: Building Planning Permission Amnesty.......!
We turned a tiled are outside the back door of our townhous into a small extension with a roof, measures around 2X3M. Would this be a problem if we wanted to sell? Assuming you got planning permission, it wouldn't be problem. If you didn't get planning permission and a potential buyer instructed a ...

Re: Defaulting on a loan
Hi TD Think of PMs as 'Post-It' notes. You should not rely on them for storing your messages and my replies as capacity is limited. The problem is made worse as some people do not bother to pick up my replies. I have replied to your PM saying I've replied by email, which will help you keep track. If...

Re: Listed houses

I know you can sell you unused development rights to someone else who can use it elsewhere, but I don't know what is permitt...

Hi Bejinariu and welcome to the forum Building a home on agricultural land is currently prohibited. The earlier messages were posted in 2016, but the ban was introduced later to prevent land speculation as people bought agricultural land close to planned roads, etc. in the hope its value would incre...

Hi John
Your guess will be as good as mine on any future building amnesties, but anything's possible.
What's the issue with your property?
