Immovable Property Tax

Probably a silly question but now we are not paying IPT on our properties, do we still have to pay our developer the IPT that was paid by him on our villa from 2006 - 2013. Also if we do, does the IPT start from when we take the property over or while it is being built. Many thanks.

Re: Alpha Bank

Can you please tell me what the changes might be. Alpha offered us a discount on our mortgage, if we decide to sell the UK house we will pay off our mortgage here. Alpha told us that once they make you an offer it will always be there.

Regards Jan.

And thank you Andrew for answering her question. Victoria Natar must be getting fed up with all the complaints she's receiving!

Regards,
Thank you both for your help, it just proves to me how much the bank lie to its customers continually.

Bank Charges

I went online to check our bank account with Alpha Bank to find they had charged us 5 euro for setting up a Payment Order. We went to the bank and spoke to the clerk who told us it was for a Direct Debit for our mortgage loan, we told him we pay the mortgage in sterling every month we put in what is...

Re: Title Deed Question

Hi Jan, Yes - you will need to repay the developer the Immovable Property Tax he has paid on your behalf (this will be one of your obligations in your sale agreement). Immovable Property Tax is based on the 1980 value of a property (not its market value) and this will be assessed by the Land Regist...

Re: Title Deed Question

Hello Jan I don't know what these papers may be - I think it best if you wait to sign them until you're at the bank where they will be able to give you a translation - or if you can get someone else to translate them for you. They may have something to do with your mortgage (actually it's a home lo...

Re: Alpha Bank and Swiss Franc Mortgages!

Hello Nigel, We too have a swiss franc mortgage, we have managed to get Alpha bank to agree for us to go on interest only as we can't afford the repayments anymore but it is only for a year at a time and then has to be reviewed again, how long we can do this for I don't know. We have put the house o...
