As we have no title deeds and the property therefore still belongs to the developer, why is it included in an estate for probate?

Applied for title deeds a few years ago, have chased and chased but no progress so far.

Hypothetically, if the property, paid for in full to the developer, which has not yet been issued with title deeds still belong to the developer?

My husband has just suddenly died. We applied for the title deeds some two years but are still waiting. The house is in both our names, we have UK and Cyprus wills which have been amended by Louise so they reflect UK law. Can I sell without title deeds? If so how?

Thanks Nigel for the quick reply, I have had a skim of the document and as with all HMRC document is very convoluted and will need very large glass or two of something to make it understandable!!!!

Should I decide to stay, for example 6 month in Cyprus and 6 months in UK how will this effect my tax. I am currently registered immigration here and with Cyprus for tax purposes.

How many of the Title Deeds so far issued have gone to developers and not to the occupants of the properties who have paid in full for the houses? Is this what the Troika envisaged happening? It appears that the duped buyers are no better off and the government is fudging the figures to get the next...
