Withdraw from Property Sale
We have sign the Contract of Sale and I am waiting to find out if it has been lodged at Land registry. Purchasers have paid deposits. If it hasn't been lodged can we withdraw the property from sale and what penalties would there be? Legal etc. We accepted an offer but it appears to be too low (priva...

Selling a property with a tenant
Hello I have managed to secure a buyer for my apartment. I have a tenant with an agreement until June this year. The buyer wants to buy the apartment with the tenant in situ and to keep him in the tenancy. He is also not bothered if the tenant moves out. I have highlighted this to be included in the...

Re: Bankcrupcy apartment in my block
Hi Nigel Believe it or not two years on this is still not resolved. The bank are still stating that they don't own the property but I have given them copies of the bankruptcy letter from the UK. The management company have contacted the owner who has confirmed he was made bankrupt in 2013. I presume...

Re: Evicting a tenant
Thanks for your reply
There is no agreement as they signed a 12 month tenancy agreement which lapsed, then they didn't move out.

Evicting a tenant
My tenant owes 2 months rent and has no tenancy agreement. My rental agent seems to have more or less washed her hands of it and has advised me to take legal action. I don't want to go down the legal route. Does anyone have experience or evicting the tenant themselves, turning off the water or getti...

Can anyone recommend a good company to manage a complex of 25 units?
Hi Our developer is pulling out of maintaining our complex in Kato Paphos this year. I am trying to navigate my way through the management committee stuff with little joy and I am also looking for a company who can manage the complex well. Is there anyone who is prepared to recommend someone in this...

Management committee set up
Hi Nigel I have read the other posts on the website including the regulations. I note that there may no longer be a requirement to register the management committee but that it is advisable to write to the Director of the Land Registry. I have noticed on the letter sample you have provided for this ...

Re: New Management Committee - Advice needed !
Hello
In relation to this letter for setting up a management committee can you advise me how many signatures are required?
Also, we have some regulations drawn up (we have used templates that are readily available). Should we attach this as well?
Thanks
Michelle

75% agreement for management committee
Hi Nigel I am seeking to set up a management committee. Out of 25 owners only 5/6 have bothered emailing me to support the idea. The complex is being maintained unsatisfactorily by the developer who is likely to pull out anyway. Can the 5/6 of us call a meeting, invite everyone via email and then pr...

Re: Management committee set up when no one is interested!
Hi Avanapa I presume you were responding to my other post about bankruptcy and the bank. I agree with you that they haven't got a clue. I keep hoping things will improve at some point, but seven years on since the banking crisis it feels like things are getting worse rather than better so it is hard...
