lawyer fees

Hi Nigel, could you please give me an approximate price for a lawyer to sell a property.I have accepted an offer of125,000, there is no mortgage and i have fully paid up to date deeds.Been quoted 1200 euro which i feel is a little exspensive....is there a cheaper way?Thanks in advance.

If you have title deeds you can use one of the agents at the land registry to do a sale cost is probably 200 - 300 euros.
Lawyers charge around 1% of the selling price, although you could probably negotiate down to 850 + vat.
did your €1200 included vat or not??

No vat is extra....am in uk and have deeds here at the moment, have since spoken to them and now been told 1000 euro plus vat...thx for reply
