swimming pool

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a house in Paphos which does not have a private swimming pool. It does have space in the garden however to build a pool - I'm not sure what maximum size, but maybe 8m x 3.5m, or 9m x 3.5m, or 10m x 3.5m.
I know nothing about swimming pools, but think minimum depth should be 1.2m, with a straight gradient to 1.8m at the other end? Would this be about right?
Now for the difficult questions. Which is cheaper initially / better value for money in the longer term:
1. a concrete pool or a fibre-glass pool?
2. a pump running off mains electricity or a pump running off solar?
3. whats the best way to heat the pool so that it can be used longer during the year?
4. Using something like an Ozonator in the pool to reduce chemical bills?
Final question, what do you think the total cost might be to build a pool and what companies can you recommend in Paphos?
Regards
Kevin
