Hello again please excuse me posting twice on the same same day but I am a little tipsy and uninibited. I have been looking through the Greek/English language classified ads in newspapers etc and 99% of them (Well Im not sure If its exactly that) do not state there is a price reduction, even with the market on its knees. My Cypriot relatives afirm that its not a good thing to do in an ad as it makes it appear undesirable.

However developers do make a big point of discounts/reductions. Does it maybe have somthing to do with pride. Admitting there is a reduction could be akin to being stupid or ghadiros at having not sold at the right time. What do you think?

One thing I have noticed is that when things are not selling, Cypriots tend to increase their prices in efforts to make the same amount of money from fewer customers - this is particularly noticeable in the restaurants and bars in the tourist areas.

I drove to Larnaca this morning and noticed two or three signs offering properties at reduced prices, but unless someone really needs to sell they will just hang on until the market improves.

So the coffee I drank 2 years ago for €2.50 is now only €5! May I ask if any of those signs where on the Dhekeila road?

No - they were om the coast road between Zygi & Larnaca.
