Emily Lemoniati

I noticed my earlier email re Emily Lemoniati has been locked so no one can reply.
I find it very disturbing how everyone seems scared (including the Cyprus press) to mention her name, especially when her convictions and jail term are in the public domain and can be freely mentioned on public forums, and are not the subject of any conjecture or defamation. Whatever happened to the right to free speech across the eu, based on fact based information?

melwil,
openly making those comments, whether in the public domain or not, puts this site and Nigel in a difficult spot legally.
if people were to start contributing, as you had hoped then it could turn nasty for Nigel. He is protecting himself and the forum by locking the thread by taking appropriate action.
It could be argued that he should remove the thread totally, but thats for him to decide.
I do understand your fustration however.
All the best
Pan

Thanks Pan,
It only needs one idiot to start posting accusations - as point 4 in
Terms of Membership.
@melwil I let your post stay because it is a statement of fact, it has been widely reported in the media, and is in the public domain.
Please remember that this forum is for
asking questions - not making statements whether they be factual or otherwise.
Regards,

As her No 1 fan, I agree with Pantheman. Freedom of speach is not quite the same here. Good effort though.

So I am an idiot now?! I am the one who has been scammed out of a large amount of money here by corrupt property professionals and banks in Cyprus, and I am the one in the wrong here by simply raising the publics awareness to a lawyer who has been jailed, and what people wish to take from that is up to them. Thanks a lot Nigel for your support.
Pantheman - you are putting words in my mouth. I did not hope that people would start contributing so that it would turn nasty. You will see that I emphasised in my post the complete opposite, that I was not defaming her nor was my post subject to any conjecture. I am not responsible for how others would chose to think or comment on a public forum.

I wish you would read what I wrote and not what you think I wrote - put you glasses on and try again!

calm down guys, I see what you are trying to do. To keep it easy for everyone, create a website and add your factual statements including links to press releases etc. Then you can build your case. When it comes to other peoples websites - I see the point.

Nigel - if I took that the wrong way then I apologise. On re-reading I see that I was in the wrong. I guess that woman just makes me see red, whenever I think about her. I understand that it is your forum and I dont want to do anything that would put it at risk. Thats why I wrote the statement as I did, and I appreciate you not deleting it.
I will make sure not to post any more statements, it just frustrates me when people seem scared to mention her name and just say things like "that woman that was jailed". It is similar to MRI I guess, where people are scared to mention their name.

Hi melwil
I'm sorry that I flew off the handle, but I have to be very careful. There are a number of sites such as
Ripoff Report where people can vent their spleen - and I see there is already a report there about a certain property developer and lawyer.
Regards,

I found a site called mrisupport group. They have plenty on her and the corrupt stuff going on. It will not cheer you up. Terrible reading.
