An owner in our complex 0f 2 blocks with 13 units in one and 14 in the other, has suggested a communal internet service. Is this at all feasible, has anybody any experience of this, and if so, can you give me a rough idea of the cost please.
Many Thanks in advance

Hello WillowTree and welcome to the forum

I haven't heard of anyone having a communal internet service and I doubt this is possible.

If it were possible, you'd need to change the Regulations governing the insurance, maintenance, repair, management, etc. of the jointly-owned building and have the change approved by 75% of the ownership.

You would also need to cable the buildings as wifi connections are unlikely to work given their reinforced concrete nature of their construction, which acts as a Faraday cage blocking the signal.

Also, as Internet speeds in Cyprus are slow compared to other countries, it's unlikely it would support the traffic from 27 units.

Regards,
