Hi folks
We have lived here for 7 years. We are on an MEU1 (4yrs).
Looking to buy a small piece of ag land for veg and fruit trees. After getting offer accepted we have been told that land registry may not pass title as non EU citizens cannnot buy agricultural or forestry land...any idea if this is correct?
Thanks
Happy Gardener.

If you are non EU this is correct.

You could only buy a build plot up to 4000m2 to build s single dwelling on and the title will be registered in your name once the house is recorded on the title.

No EU can only have a max of two titles anyway.

Edit: You could always rent a small piece of land for such farming.

Hi Happygardener

Unfortunately Brexit had consequences for Brits wishing to to buy property in Cyprus. I wrote an article on the subject in January - Buying property in Cyprus and visiting post Brexit.
