Hi. Should I wait post COVID to sell my property? Has the property market come to a standstill as a result of the pandemic? I would be grateful for some advice. Thank you. Marguerite

Hello,
if you are looking to sell, then the sooner it is on the market the better. It does not cost you to market it (going through a registered agency), and you have nothing to lose.
The COVID19 situation has certainly put the dampers on sales, but there are still people looking, albeit fewer.
You could get lucky and your property may appeal to someone very quickly, but unless it is placed for sale you will never know.
All the best

Hi,
After some information please..
We have a property we are trying to sell, our current lawyer no longer wants to be involved. What is the best way to market it? Does it cost much to have an estate agent market it for us? Can we have it up for sale with more than one agent?
Do we need to give another lawyer power of attorney to act on our behalf?

Hello,
it doesn't cost you to list with an agency, you can list it with as many as you like, you do not need a lawyer yet. Deal with the lawyer when that time comes
If your lawyer doesn't want anything to do with you, it would suggest there are some issues??
Anyway, where is your property located??
If in Famagusta or Larnaca area, we can help.

The property is part of an estate.. one property has sold, which allows us to pay the lawyer who was the executor.
He said he'd need power of attorney to continue and sell the house.
It has been "up for sale" for approximately 8 years. Which suggests it is wrongly priced, or does it??
The property is in Germasogia area of Limassol.
Any advice would great.

I would not be giving this lawyer a PoA did he do the probate??
8 years in Limassol is quite strange , were you trying to sell by yourself??
I have colleagues in Limassol I could pass you on to if you wish?

Yes he did the probate, and the property is registered in the beneficiaries names. We also have the deeds.
We would be happy for contacts in the Limassol area.
Thanks
