I live in the UK and have all my familys original Cypriot deeds for land in North Cyprus which is in Asomotos occupied by the Turkish Air force. Is there anything I can do to claim compensation?

There is nothing that the Cyprus High commission can do. He needs to contact the Turkish embassy and enquire, but my opinion is that he has no hope if the land is occupied by military forces. Turkey is hardly going to pay for something they already have, they don't pay the Greek Cypriots compensation that have even followed the correct procedure of the IPC!
