Hi, friend and I bought an apartment on Kyklades complex in 2006 for £99000. I am selling my 50%share to her for £28000. The title deeds have not been issued yet although they are being dealt with by Demari the builders. She is in Cyprus just now,can you give me an idea of costs involved ?

Hi Lindsay.
At a rough guess I'd say something between €800 and €1,200. Your friend should use an Assignment contract - and one of the lawyers on the
list provided by the British High Commission in Nicosia.

Hi, thanks for replying so quickly! She is going to see the lawyer we used for buying the apartment, (the builders introduced them to us) They are Pittadjis Law Firm in Paralimni.
Should I instruct her to use an assignment contract, or is that what the lawyers would do anyway? She has an appointment tomorrow.
I really want to make sure I don't pay over the odds for selling, are the charges taxes?

Hi Lindsay
I urge your friend to use one of the lawyers on the list provided by the British High Commission in Nicosia.
If your developer introduced you to Pittadjis - how on earth can they be independent ?????
Have you Googled fotos pittadjis ?
