Hi Andy,

Thanks for your email from the Ombudsman and I'm pleased a date has been set for your hearing. Let's hope the Disciplinary Board deal with this matter properly and do not let the Stigette off the hook.

Regards,

Nigel

Is your last post not a bit Tongue in cheek. Hoping the Disciplinary Board chaired by the AG as President with the CBA president as VP plus 5 (nameless lawyers ) will give Andy P justice ?

I think what the Stiquette did do him plus other victims would not be the correct court for her be a Criminal Court not a board who can award as a terrible fine 1000-00 euros as a punishment ?

As Gavin Jones has pointed out in letters to the CM What Justice ?

Hi Nigel.

For your information and anyone else following the thread I can advise that I have lawyers who will now represent me at the hearing in October. I had thought I was on my own which was a bit daunting as I had no clue about the format and I had been told that proceedings are undertaken in Greek.

From what I understand legal representation for a complainant is rather unusual at a Disciplinary Board hearing so I hope this is a sign of change. Fingers crossed.

My flights are booked so I will update you on my return although I am not expecting a swift result. To be honest I am not expecting a favourable result as I am fighting The Stigette but who knows.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Nigel.

I half expected that the hearing next week would be cancelled, for whatever reason, but I have heard nothing so I assume it is still on.

Off to Cyprus tomorrow so will let you know the procedure on my return.

Hopefully AndyP got a good result today in front off the Board not the dreaded adjournement ?

Hi Scots Lad

AndyP phoned me last evening - unfortunately I was out at my Rotary meeting. I'm hoping to speak with him later today. The news is positive.

Cheers,

Hi Nigel, Good to meet you the other day.

Good news and bad. Bad is that the case was continued as we had over run our time. We were there for about 2 and a half hours and I was in the "witness box" for about an hour and 15 minutes, and another case was waiting to be heard.

We have been given a date mid November to continue the hearing so that is positive. In addition guess who the next case was being heard against? You guessed, The Stigette.

I can't go into details as the case is ongoing but to be honest I felt I had a fair hearing in front of the Disciplinary Board where The AG is no longer The President. There were 6 Board members and were all seemingly helpful and open. It was not a daunting experience basically comprising a statement by me, presentation of the evidence, open questioning and then cross examination by the accused.

Obviously no one can predict the outcome but if anyone else is going down this route I would suggest they do not give up and keep pushing for a hearing. If I can help them in any way with the procedures I went through to date please feel free to pass on my contact details. I have also drawn up a map so you cannot get lost.

As I say I have no complaints on the process to date and I will update later next month.

Thanks Andy - it was good to meet you too - and thanks for the coffee.

It goes without saying that I wish you every success with your complaint. If the lawyer has committed a criminal offence the Bar Association will (hopefully) revoke their licence. And if the Disciplinary Committee refers the case to the Attorney General and the lawyer is charged, tried and found guilty, they could end up in jail.

Cheers,

Thanks Nigel.

I live in hope but the reality is you can never predict what will happen.

I will give you a call and catch up in a few weeks. Pain in a*** having to come back but I have decided to leave nothing to chance and at least give it my best shot.

Fingers crossed, You fought this for many years to get Justice and at least the President of the CBA has taken over the Board

For you and the many other victims should it have got to this stage ?

Thanks Scots Lad.

The answer to your question is no.

Obviously I am not the only person to have been stuffed by The Stigette and others like her but why they have not been dealt with sooner, by the authorities, is another matter.

Will justice prevail? I have no idea and will have to wait for another three weeks, at best, to find out.
