When a property is completed, using Cyprus terminology, it can take the authorities many years to issue Title Deeds. There are some properties in the Coral Bay area of Paphos that were built in the 1970s and still haven't been issued with Title Deeds.

A year ago nearly 100,000 completed properties had no been issued with Title Deeds, See 100,000 still waiting for Title Deeds.

(Once a Title Deed has been issued, the DLS database is updated accordingly.)

Is it the authorities which are slow or is it because of problems in other areas, eg plot which have been mortaged by the developer and thus can't be issue a deed or illegal extensions that prevent the issuance of a title deed?

If the case is easy, when somebody buy a piece of land which has a clean title deed. Builds with an architect according strictly adhering to the plan, how slow/fast do you get a title deed these days?

It's a pretty wild concept that you can add a floor by making the ground floor parking. Love the spirit.
Is this refered to as "pilotis"? I am asking because the Akamos Local Plan has the following paragraph:
Ανέγερση οικοδομών σε υποστυλώματα (pilotis): Η αναφερόμενη μορφή δεν
θα γίνεται αποδεκτή στις Οικιστικές Ζώνες της περιοχής του Τοπικού Σχεδίου.
Translating to:
Erection of buildings on pillars (pilotis): The mentioned form does not
will be accepted in the Residential Zones of the Local Plan area.
So this parking floor bonus isn't possible in the Akamas LP zone, or am I mistaken?

The chances of Title Deeds being available when the properties in Cyprus are completed are two thirds of three eighths of a very small number!
Is this some statistical data?
Do I understand it correctly you mean taking 100 sales, Titled deeds are issued on property completed 2/3 of 3/8 of times?
Is this like 25% of times (25 out of 100)
I think he was being sarcastic!! hahaha

Also, it's possible in Cyprus to transfer air rights, but this wouldn't affect dozens of developments.

Thanks a lot for the information. I will try to get a grasp on what is going on in the area / try to talk directly to the developers.
